A small cinema runs throughout the day a highly informative documentary about how the Bavarian beer culture has evolved from its very beginning days of rudimentary brewing experiments in experimentation during the medieval times, through innumerable small farm and monastery based brewing operationsunder the supervision of the Bavarian Kingdom, up until today's worldwide export industry dominated mainly by six major Munich breweries.

The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday between 1pm and 6pm. A restaurant and bar on the ground floor stays remains open until midnight. The museum, restaurant and bar are closed on Sundays and public holidays.
