Alter Wirt Ramersdorf is a well-shaded beer garden below a thick cluster of chestnut trees. The beer garden has 800 seats with 400 of them in the serviced area. The beer type served is Löwenbraü Helles (lager) and Franziskaner Weißbier (weath beer).

On warm summer days there is an open area barbecue grilling from at 4pm. The procedure in the self-service area is to go and order your meat which will be prepared for you until the service staff will shout out loud that your meat is ready. There are excellent spare ribs at €5.99. A speciality “Entenjagd“ - a quarter of a duck at €5.99. During the Wiener Revolution a large Schnitzel Weiner Art (real veal schnitzel) for only €5.99. Untypical for a beer garden is the happy hour from 4pm to 6pm as well as from 10pm until closing time. The Löwenbraü maß (1-litre) costs only €5. Kids get their first small soft drink for free.

The Alter Wirt Ramerdorf restaurant is open from 11.30am to 11.30pm. The self-service area part of the beer garden is open from 4pm until the last guests have left. The Alter Wirt Ramerdorf also operates as a small hotel with seven beautiful rooms decorated in the traditional Bavarian style. There is a 15th century Bavarian church next to the beer garden. An Alter Wirt Ramerdorf Friendship Card is given to regulars (who apply) which offers discounts on some menu items.

The Alter Wirt Ramersdorf is located east section of Munich and can be reached by a short walk from Karl-Preis-Platz underground station (about 15 minutes from the main station).
