Weißbier literaty means white beer in Germany, because when it was originally made, other Munich beer was normally dark. Outside Bavaria a Weißbier often called a Weizenbier (wheat beer) or simply a Weizen.

A traditional Weissbier glass holds a half a litre of beer plus extra room for foam. Pouring a Weißbier requires a bit of practice, as otherwise the the foam will likely overflow or be too flat.
