Hohenlindener Sauschütt beer garden is located in the easter part of the Ebersberger Forst (forest) approximately 35km east of Munich. The name Sauschütt refers to the many wild boars living in this part of forest. The main building function for many years as residence for the forest warden. For additional income, he and his wife served by-passers drinks and food, including the regular wild game.

The beer garden has existed since about 25 years. Since 2010 new leaseholders took over and continue serving many regulars, including bikers and nature lovers exploring the forest. A 3.2km nature trail starts behind the beer garden with information signs about the flora and fauna along the route. Additionally, a game reserve with deer and as well as an observation platform offering visitors a chance to watch wild boar can be found nearby.

The beer garden has 600 seats in th self-serviced area and 100 seats on a serviced terrace. Unfortunately, there are no traditional beer garden benches in the self-serviced area. Instead there are regular garden tables with chairs. The beer served is Wildbräu - a regional beer from Grafing. A Maß Helles (lager) costs €5.80.

The beer garden is open when the weather is good Wednesday through to Sunday between 10am and 10pm. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
