16th April 2015: After a leaseholder change followed by months of renovation the Landgasthof Langwied finally reopened in April 2015. Unfortunately the new leaseholder places no value on the traditional Bavarian beer garden concept, instead this location now offers a Wirtsgarten only.
The information published on this page below relates to the former restaurant (2014) and is not up-to-date. On the menu one can now find specialties from the Balkan.
Landgasthof Langwied hotel, restaurant and beer garden is located in Langwied, a small village within the district of Munich. The building dates back to 1900 and is the oldest location which serves Spaten beer fresh from the barrel.
The beer garden offers 350 seats in the self-serviced area and about 60 seats on a serviced terrace. A Maß Spaten Hell (lager) costs €6 and a Maß Löwenbräu costs €6.50 (2014).
The traditional Bavarian kitchen prepares meat and sausages from the high-quality butcher Magnus Bauch. Fresh trout and char fish come from an own fish-farm and can be ordered in advance. Additionally, homemade cakes are available on the menu.
The beer garden is open during the summer months when the weather is good Tuesdays to Sundays from 10am until 11pm.
