Wirtsgarten's masquerading as beer gardens are also found in numerous city guides and in local and international media featuring the Munich lifestyle. Some local newspapers have even awarded Wirtsgarten's the a beer garden price of the year, while they are in fact not real beer gardens. This inevitably confuses countless of visitors and tourists who are coming to Munich to experience the real beer gardens, often as a result ending up in the wrong places.
