A small cinema runs an ongoing documentary about how the Bavarian beer culture has evolved from the early days of innumerable small farm and monastery based brewery operations to the present day worldwide export industry which is dominated by six major Munich breweries.

The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday between 1pm and 6pm. A restaurant and bar on the ground floor stays upen open until midnight. The museum, restaurant and bar are closed on Sundays and public holidays.
