Cirkuswiese is one of the less busy beer gardens in Munich, situated next to the “Wiesn” where the Oktoberfest takes place. The beer garden is owned by the Hacker Pschorr Bräuhaus which operates a serviced-only beer garden across the road.
The Cirkuswiese beer garden is suffering from years of neglect despite the fact it has been managed by the Hacker Pschorr Bräuhaus since recently. While the beer garden is closed the gate remains open which invites the random office worker to sit down with their lunch pack or read a newspaper.
Circuswiese is only open in the summer when weather conditions are ideal or during the Oktoberfest. However, as the of end July 2010, the beer garden was not yet opened any day for the season.
