The original restaurant and beer garden opened in 1889 and was then known as Tannengarten (pine garden) as there was once a pine forest behind the property. Following an ownership change in 2002, the beer garden and restaurant was renamed to Spektakel, which reflects the "Gewittershow", a 10-minute light and thunder show held in the restaurant every evening at 730pm 7:30pm and 930pm9:30pm.
The small cosy beer garden with 600 seats lies hidden in a backyard and is shaded by chestnut and other trees. A Maß [[Hacker Pschorr ]] Helles costs €6,10p/[[Maß]]. The food stall offers a variety of warm and cold traditional Bavarian meals and snacks.
Major football tournaments are shown live on a screen in the beer garden.
