The Bootshaus beer garden is located near the Isar and close to the zoo in Thalkirchen, a city district of central Munich. Since about 50 years the beer garden is open to the public. The main house, built in 1951, functions as the association restaurant and meeting place for the NaturFreunde (Nature Friends). The NaturFreunde is an international association with members in 40 countries with the aim to protect and preserve the nature.
