Biergarten Mühlenpark is located in Garching near Munich about 17km north along the Isar river from central Munich. Set within the boundaries of an historical wooden corn mill belonging to the Bavarian state. While the beer garden has existed since 1975. the current and second leasholder has managed this small and popular beer garden since 1979.

There are 650 seats on old-style fixed-to-the-ground tables mostly shaded by large trees and various roofed areas which are part of the original mill structure. A stream with a contantly rotating old water wheel runs along the edge of the beer garden which adds to the attraction. Unlike most other beer gardens there is only a self-service area. The kitchen of the food stall however offers a wide selection of Bavarian meals. Steckerlfisch (grilled fish on a stick) is prepared over a charcoal grill on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The beer served from the tap is Hacker-Pschorr is sold at a very reasonable €5 p/Maß.

Mühlenpark is open seasonally from middle of March until middle of October everyday when the weather is good from 10:30am until 10:30pm.
