A small cinema runs a 12-minute a documentary in German language with English subtitles throughout the day, explaining how Bavarian beer brewing has evolved from small and primitive household brewing experiments of the middle ages, through innumerable farm and monastery based brewery operations of the Bavarian Kingdom, up until today's worldwide export industry dominated mainly by six major Munich breweries.

The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday between 1pm and 6pm. The entrance ticket to the museum is €4 p/person. A restaurant and bar on the ground floor remains open until midnight. The museum, restaurant and bar are closed on Sundays and public holidays.
